Sorry for the debate spam guys, I just haven’t been on in a while. I went to a two day tournament this weekend.

FRIDAY:

Was pretty great. I didn’t memorize my oratory so I read it (I’m the worst kind of person) but I did amazing! I love my oratory so much it’s great! It’s on women in advertising ;) and people love my intro almost as much as I do. I kinda butchered the Gettysburg Address, which I did for OD. No worries, no one noticed ha ha. The judge for my last round was an ex-orator and returned missionary. Sounds like completely not my type right? I was oddly attracted to the fact that he looked like MC Lars when he was bigger ha ha. He was nice and we talked about speaking Spanish and stuff. At the end the best thing in the world happened, I was on a debate high. If there is one thing that keeps me in debate, it’s the high I get after all my rounds are over and I have done much better than I expected. I hadn’t gotten a full-force debate high yet this year, so it was really awesome.

SATURDAY:

Right when we I walk in, in my fly 70s getup, McNeely calls me over. We say hi, she says I look like a gypsy it’s all hunky dory. (Hopefully Leak didn’t get jealous ha ha) She ended up being the judge in my first round. I did awesome in that round. Second round I did my oratory, met a dude named Griffin and had a hot judge. It was sub-par. I got to my third round about thirty minutes early ha ha and this boy started talking to me. He was cute in a debate kind of way (nice way to put it) he did have a smile that reached his eyes, I love that. He told me about his oratory and how it was on beards. I wanted to be like “take me now”. We talked about his thrift store pinstripe pants and he gave me Swedish Fish. After that he went to his round and right when he left Griffin started talking to me. That round of OD had some really great people. After that there was food and it was nummy! Then I hung out with Ezekiel for a bit. After that we got Marko and Dalton too. Once finals started it was Mark and I against the world. We saw the cute kid give his oratory and just adventured for a bit. When we got back to the stairs we had claimed, this group of weird kids came over and mistletoed us. I probably shouldn’t have, but I kissed him and let them take a picture. And when the kid with the camera came back again I kissed Juno, probably shouldn’t have done that either. Luckily half the team had already left. I would have left too, but as captain I feel I should set a better example and support my team. Kissing my teammates might have been support, but it definitely did not set a good example. I’m praying it doesn’t come back to bite me. Also, I hope Leak and Peer don’t find out. I really enjoy having their respect.

YH109

I’m doing this new thing I call The Debate Diaries. Friday was my first competition of the year.

Our school code was YH. The other varsities and I decided that stood for yee-haw. (The novices will soon catch on to our traditions) I made sure we did a hands in. The past two years we had said GET SOME, but I figured they wanted completely new traditions so I asked what they wanted to say. We ended up going with OUR TIME, that’s the school theme this year. I thought it was a stupid idea to do the theme since we want something we can keep saying year after year, oh well. My event was story telling, and I was not worried one bit. I don’t go into these things planning to win, I go planning to do better than last time. (I usually don’t let myself down) I did end up placing. I got 5th place overall! I was very proud of myself. It was really sad to think that was my last time competing at that tournament since it holds a very special place in my heart. Sophomore year that was the tournament I made my move on Tyler ♥.

One of the Junior Varsities has a story about screwing a judge that all the novice boys find incredible. (It parallels any underclassmen looking up at a Senior’s achievements). Now, I will admit this JV is quite a ladies man, but I don’t exactly believe his story. Oh well. If they really want to hear a story about getting down with a judge they should hear me talk about Tyler. (No, I don’t need anyone of them thinking I’m a floozy)

The bus ride home was almost 2 hours long. (We buspooled with 2 other schools and they got dropped off first) I was going to sit with Sarah and cuddle, but when we got on the bus was pretty full. I sat with a cute novice and figured I might as well make the most of it. I cuddled with him hoping he wouldn’t get the wrong idea. Turns out he has a girlfriend so I don’t have to feel bad about leading him on. If anything he lead me on haha. OH WELL.

We got back to the school a quarter after 1. (Yes, in the morning) I went home and text the love interest(s) for a bit, then proceeded to pass out. The next morning (or afternoon I should say) I woke up with a raging debate hangover.

This is my passion.

These are from last Friday & Saturday. Friday I went to Dayglow and Saturday I saw Panic! at the Disco :) I was front and center as you can tell from the barricade.

I’m giving new guy a shot.

He’s no good for me. But then again, I don’t know much about him. Sometimes I get whiffs of douche or something like that, but sometimes he’s not that bad. What worries me is that he might end up being really over-sensitive, like the last guy. I can’t do cutesy and sometimes guys interpret that as me not being interested. Today he told me that he was more than physically attracted to me. I thought “bullshit” and asked him what made me attractive. (whenever I ask this I usually get nice as an answer -_-“) He started off by saying that he didn’t really know me that well and then went off listing things. My biggest pet peeve is when guys say they really like me blah blah blah, and they don’t even know anything about me! With him acknowledging not knowing much, he received MAJOR points. I dunno, we’ll just see where this goes.

I was saving this gif for yesterday…

I hope that next time Panic comes to Utah I get to see Brendon Urie. I was pretty much on the verge of tears during the whole set. I just emotionally invested myself way too much. Panic means so much to me. I guess I’m happy he doesn’t have malaria, but it really sucks that they find out the day after the show.

It’s raining today. My dad just fixed his old bike so I was planning on taking it out for a spin today, guess not. Also, I look more like a boy than usual.
